WLW Environment and Student Success Emergency STUDENT sUPPORT

Florida Atlantic University's School of Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sustainability offers emergency aid options to enrolled undergraduate and graduate students experiencing emergency or crisis situations. 

Students in need can use the online application to apply for emergency support. Support will be applied in instances when a student is experiencing unexpected financial hardship, or an emergency that puts them at risk of dropping out or putting their studies on hold.

Examples of Eligible Expenses

  • Assistance with utilities
  • Housing needs (ex. securing short-term housing, security deposits, etc.)
  • Replacement of lost personal items (due to fire, theft, flood, etc.)
  • Emergency expenses related to dependents (ex. childcare)

Ineligible Expenses: Cost of attendance at FAU, non-emergency travel and non-essential expenses, food and groceries (for help with food and house­hold items, students can use FAU's Beyond Food Program).
